OUR HISTORY

St. Andrew’s Public School was founded in 2006 as a Co-Educational Institution. It bears the name of St. Andrew is the Patron Saint of the School.

St. Andrew was one of the less spoken of the Disciples of Christ. He said less but contributed much to the ministry and mission for which he was chosen. From his example we obtain such values as unquestionable trust, perseverance, constancy, love and selfless service. Is is on these that we base our project in education.

  • Our school is now affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, leading to Class X and XII examination
  • The Medium of Institution will be English for all subjects, except the Vernacular (i.e. Hindi & Bengali)
  • The School will continue to be a Private, Unaided, Co-Educational and Minority School as was in the past.

Further, the school will erect a new building for the expansion of the school. Please note that this will be a ONE STOP school for the education of your child at the school level.

OUR MISSION

To provide liberal and relevant education Incorporating moral values, attitudes and behaviors, within a caring and responsible family environment, together with a curriculum which :

  • Endeavors to develop the gifts and talents of each child.
  • Fosters intellectual curiosity and creativity;
  • Develop a sense of self-worth and respect for others. The School aspires with its students to lay the foundations for lifelong learning and endeavor.

OUR VISION

To provide the relevant, liberal education focusing on moral values, attitudes and behavior so that these may influence each aspects of the School’s life in a manner sensitive in the diversity in religious and cultural backgrounds representative of the School community :

  • To create the environment where students acquire and apply the knowledge and skills of numeracy and Literacy.
  • To develop a spirit of inquiry and the knowledge and skills necessary to think critically, analytically and creatively.
  • To assist students in understanding the history and culture of India as well as that of other people and places.
  • To encourage students to develop a sense of care for and commitment to the welfare of others and to initiate meaningful and responsible action in home, school and community.
  • To provide opportunities for challenging students to become involved to act responsibly in managing their own lives and so share in the joy of leaving while developing in body, mind and spirit.

Curriculum

The school is haring a Qualified an Experienced Faculty.

School follow the syllabus common to the various W.B.B.S.E. and W.B.C.H.S.E school, with English as the First Language throughout the school. The school will provide Humanities, Science and Commerce streams with a stress on extra co-curricular activities.

The School will appoint a qualified and experienced faculty drawn from various parts of India. Every effort is made to keep in touch with all modern trends and methods of teaching in the country.
