My education was started at St.Thomas Boys School,Kidderpore and in 1964 I completed my I.Sc. Thereafter I completed two years Teacher Training course at St.Thomas Boys School, Kidderpore. I was the teacher at St.Thomas Boys School from 1966 to 1983. Then I was appointed as the Principal of St.Thomas Day School at Mirza Gallib street,Kolkata from 1983 to 1985.Then I was the Principal of St.Pauls Mission School,Sealdah,Kolkata from 1986 to November 1998. I was then appointed as the Principal of La Martinere for Boys School, Kolkata in 1998 till 2005, when I retired completing 60 years of age.
I headed my own school,St.Andrew’s Public School,Thakurpukur,Kolkata in 2006, when the school was established. It was 8 years in 2014,the school was recognized and affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination(Class X) English Medium High School with English as 1 st .Language.
Since then we have sent up our four batches who came out with flying colors and with no failures. We have a dedicated team of staff members consisting of teachers, office staffs and support staffs.
We applied for Higher Secondary Stream (Class XI & XII)and was granted the same for Science, Humanities and Commerce streams by the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal.
We are grateful to Rt.Revd.Dr.D.C.Gorai,Ex-Bishop of Kolkata and the moderator of the churches of North India who has guided and steered the school where it stands today. We are also grateful to Mrs.Teresa Tobias, who has been at the helm of affairs in setting the policy of the school. We especially thanks to Mr.Harry Joseph,Mrs.Anita Brooks who are the eminent members of the Board of the Governors and Mrs.Aloka Lucy Biswas,the member of the Managing Committee for their continued support to St.Andrew’s Public School while serving on the various committees.
I am grateful to my family members who have assisted me in my dream project of St.Andrew’s Public School and continued to serve as the founder trustee as well as the members of the Board of Governors of the school.
The school is fortunate to have Mrs.Pragati Mukherjee as the Head Mistress of the Senior Section i.e. from Class V to XII. The junior section of the school is well managed by Mrs.Michelle Jones, who is the Head Mistress of the Junior Section,i.e from Lower Nursery to Class IV. Both these Head Mistresses have carried out their duties very efficiently in managing the discipline and maintaining the academic standard of the school.
The Office and the Accounts department is managed by a team of very hard working, industrious staff members who have kept the books of accounts,taxes,audits of the same and managed the finance of the school very well. Mr. Anshuman Mukherjee Accounts Head along with Mr.Subhrojit Bagchi as Assistant Accountant and Mr.Somenath Das as Office Assistant & Cashier have been extremely capable, hard working and trustworthy in maintaining books of accounts and official matter of the school. Mr.Debasis Maji as our consultant to Provident Fund & Employees State Insurance matters extremely efficient in keeping these record managing sach affairs.
Besides this we have the team of 8 members of support staff to whom the credit goes of maintaining the cleanliness and day to running of school without whom it would be impossible to run the institution.
The school management consist of the Members of the Governing Body, Managing Committee and the founder trustees,who have been responsible for laying down the policies of the school along which the school runs.

Our Patron St.Andrew’s, the oldest and the most erudite disciple of Lord Jesus Christ handed over fives loaves breads and two pieces of fishes to the Lord Jesus in full faith and trust, to feed 5000 people. Placing our trust also in the Lord we pray and hope that St.Andrew’s Public School,Thakurpukur will sail through the tide of time in fare and rough weather.
